Sterling Silver Half Shell Charm Necklace with Freshwater Pearl

We’ve created a lovely sterling silver half shell necklace replicating one of the ocean’s humble shell sculptures. Cast from a vintage coco shell our sterling charm has deep ridges and a smooth interior. The mantel of the ocean clam builds it’s shell which grows with it. Once the mollusk’s life has ended the shell remains in the ocean to be repurposed by other sea life. Did you know that animals such as crabs and octopuses use shells as camouflage and many fish use shells as hiding places from predators? To avoid disrupting ecosystems, it is good practice to appreciate and enjoy shells in their natural environment.
